Soak them for at least half an hour.Place the soaked ingredients into a pot, add water, and bring to a boil over high heat.Reduce the heat and simmer for 40 minutes, then turn off the heat.Add rock sugar and let it steep for another 8 minutes.Serve and enjoy.

Instructions:Lightly wash all the ingredients.Place all the ingredients in a pot and add enough water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes.Turn off the heat, add rock sugar to taste, and stir until dissolved.Serve and enjoy.
