Liver Care Tips of Liver Cancer Patient

Currently, liver cancer has become one of the most common malignant tumors globally. Due to the often asymptomatic nature of liver cancer in its early stages, most patients are diagnosed in the advanced stages, making treatment challenging and survival rates low. However, liver cancer is not incurable, and through proactive prevention and regular screening, we can effectively reduce the incidence and mortality of liver cancer. So, how can we better protect our liver in daily life?

1.Meridian Massage (Liver Meridian Pushing)

Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the liver governs dispersion, and when liver qi flows smoothly, all meridians are unblocked. Liver qi is most susceptible to emotional influences, and unresolved emotions can lead to liver stagnation. Pushing the liver meridian is emphasized in this regard.

Legs and Feet: Start with the left foot, then the right foot. Push along the foot seam towards the toes. Apply some force to induce a slightly sore feeling. Repeat fifty times for each foot.

Leg Pushing: Sit down, bend the legs to a 90-degree angle with knees flat. Use overlapping palms to push from the inner side of the left thigh root to the knee. Start with the left leg and then the right leg. Repeat fifty times for each leg.

2.Liver-Nourishing Diet

A balanced diet is crucial for liver nourishment and protection, promoting liver repair. Preferably include glutinous rice, black rice, soybeans, black-boned chicken, crucian carp, red dates, longan, walnuts, chestnuts, etc. Additionally, sour foods and green-colored foods are considered beneficial for the liver, such as sour plums, hawthorn, mint, celery, and spinach, rich in beta-carotene and vitamin C.

3.Hepatitis B Vaccination

Hepatitis is one of the main causes of liver cancer, especially hepatitis B. Vaccination against hepatitis B effectively prevents its occurrence, thereby reducing the risk of liver cancer.

4.Regular Health Check-ups

Regular health check-ups are a proactive self-care measure that encourages patients to undergo examinations, to some extent achieving active disease prevention. Patients with chronic liver diseases should follow medical advice for regular and scheduled check-ups and reexamination of relevant indicators.

5.Active Treatment of Basic Diseases

Actively treating underlying diseases such as hepatitis, alcoholic fatty liver, diabetes, etc., can reduce the risk of liver cancer.

6.Quit Smoking and Alcohol

Long-term heavy drinking and smoking are important risk factors for inducing cirrhosis and liver cancer. Quitting smoking and alcohol can effectively reduce the risk of cancer.

7.Healthy Diet

Consume more fresh vegetables and fruits, avoid pickled, smoked, and grilled foods to reduce the risk of liver cancer.

8.Avoid Carcinogenic Substances

Avoid consuming foods that may contain aflatoxin, such as moldy rice, and stay away from chemical carcinogens to effectively reduce the risk of liver cancer and other tumors.

9.Pay Attention to Safe and Hygienic Drinking Water

Paying attention to safe and hygienic drinking water is a crucial aspect of daily health. Develop good water-drinking habits (warm boiled water is recommended).
