External Uses of Castor seed
Treatment of Boils and Abscesses:
Take twenty castor seed, remove the shells, and crush them together with a small amount of salt and rice gruel to form a paste. Apply this paste to the affected area and change it twice daily.
Treatment of Facial Nerve Paralysis:
Crush castor seed, removing the shells, until they become a paste. Apply this paste to the affected side of the jaw joint and corner of the mouth (about 0.3cm thick), and secure it with gauze and bandage. Change the dressing once daily. Healing can be achieved within 10 days.
Treatment of Burns and Scalds:
Crush castor seed, removing the shells, until they become a paste. Mix this paste with a suitable amount of sesame oil to form a thick mixture. Apply this mixture directly to the affected area. Change the dressing daily and disinfect the wound each time before changing the dressing. Continuously apply this treatment for 2 to 3 days to alleviate pain and expedite wound healing.
